Oil Pressure...Mechanical or Electrical???

What kind of Oil Pressure guages does everyone use? Mechanical or Electrical? I'm leaning more towards the electrical just because I don't want to worry about a leak in the cabin. Also where is the best place to mount the sender unit? Will it fit in the stock senders location? Or would it be better to make a tap and drill out a new hole in the block? Thanks

electrical, hot oil spraying on you in the cabin is NOT a good idea (unless you mount the gauge on the hood). I don't know about the other questions

it is a 1/8 NPT female to 1/8 BSPT male

it screws into the block where the stock sending unit was. from there you can screw in either your new sending unit for an elec gauge or a 1/8 npt male hose end for a mech gauge.

I am running a mch oil pressre gauge with the ss line so no worries about the nylon leaking.

mechanical don't need a power source and they are a little more accurate. can't really tell the diff. between the two with todays tech.
