Isn't the gauge supposed to fall to the lowest position when you shut the key off.. My battery gauge, water temp and tach all fall the minute you shut the key off but the oil pressure one stays hanging around 8-10 PSI and takes about 5 min to fall all the way down to the bottom.. Is my gauge bad? Im going to get an aftermarket one anyways so thats not to worry just wondering if it is not supposed to do that..

Thanks

Mine has always done this, If you tap the cluster with your fingers it falls faster.

I dont think the oil pressure gauge is the same as the volts and water temp. Aside from the obvious, I mean in the way it reads. I cant tell you exactly how but from what ive seen im gonna go out on a limb and say its different.

yeah, It just seemed like it never used to do it and just randomly started.. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention to my oil pressure when I was N/A now Im not even looking at the road when I'm driving, eyes are on the oil pressure gauge LOL jkjk well kinda true at the drag strip.. A lot of people say don't trust the stock gauge readings as its un accurate.. So aftermarket gauge here I come..

I think mine falls the same as the others id have to check tho. Its an elecctric gauge so it should just fall.
