so now, along w/ all of the other problems, my oil pan gasket has sprung a leak... any advice? the gasket's never been removed... god just hates me, and all of the bolts are tight

i didnt and i paid for it with rod knock. mine was leaking like it had a HOLE in the pan.. and i was too stupid about supras at the time to know better. now my engine is out and i am in the middle of a complete rebuild! then again what better an excuse for building up a supra motor than rod knock! :biglaugh:
anyway, there is in fact a gasket on there and it is in fact cork. i was told by curt from elmhurst toyota the same thing, that there is no p/n for the gasket and to use sealant... but sure enough i pulled my pan and there is a cork gasket on it.
i would use the best sealant you can find... cork sucks.

The cork works great, its just it has to be torqued and torqued correctly or it WILL LEAK.
Any thing over 5 ft lbs is kililng a cork gasket.
