i've searched but couldn't find nething on what im looking for. i currently have a 7m in my 87 4runner. i keep leaking oil from the pcv valve (i think thats what its called) its the 2 pipes at top of the valve cover, near back end of the cover. anyways the motor has been rebuilt and i keep gushing oil out of them.

reason for them not being hooked up to the intake is that when i roll over oil wont come in.

the thing is pissing me off, i've tired to put the small little oil filters but oil still keeps on coming out.

right now i have them hooked up to a tube leading towards the frame and just dripping.

is there any solution to this ? anyone else have this problem ?

That is probably the easiest solution. Not a bad method by any means, especially if you get a real one(avoid ebay sh*t). If your blowing that much oil out maybe you have too much in the motor?

Did you modify the splash plates under the cam covers? Also, you have another PCV vent on the side of the block next to the oil cap. You could probably get away with just using that for a vent into a catchcan and capping the valve covers. Its pretty big

PCV should definately be hooked to a vacuum source though. You can see how I did mine here:

w/ the catch can method do i basically have get a bottle or sum sort and route a hose into it ?

i only use 4.4L of oil..so i dont think i have that much

haven't done a compression test..will prolly do that on the weekend.

i haven't modded anything w/ the engine. besides the head had just been shaved abit not so much.

what if i cap both off ? is that good or bad ?

No you just can't cap them off. You'll at least blow out a cam seal.

It's been done here with catch cans, just search.

As said above, capping it will just blow seals - all over, actually, which would suck. A fellow on here tried that a long time ago, blew his front and rear main seals on the block.

I don't think anyone has tried an air compressor filter - aren't those designed to catch water? Oil might be too thick and plug it... If you go that route, let us know if it works.

On a side note, I love the way you *plan* on rolling over... no IF, just WHEN. :)
