Hey, i got an massive amount of oil in my spark plug valley area of my head. Just wondering if any of you have come across this, or have a solution. My valve covers are leaking a little, but i dont think they are leaking enough to provide this much oil inside and around my spark plugs. Got any ideas??? Thanks

wrong section, try the 7MGTE technical. and come back after you have correctly replaced your cam cover seals

good point.

I would think it's the cam/valve covers, or maybe the cps oring somehow (not sure if that's even possible)

My reccomendation: buy a gasket set off ebay and make a day out of replacing every gasket you can get your hands on. You'll thank yourself later. Also, replace the valve cover vent hose (right next to the oil cap, behind the alternator) while you're at it.

I replied to him by PM on his issue, but I'll answer here as well.

Oil ONLY in the spark plug wells means one thing, the oil galley plugs. The plugs are seals with the rubber on the 3rd cam cover gasket (the one the spark plug wires seal to). The rubber gets old, and it leaks.

Only way to fix it is to replace the gasket, or remove the gasket entirely and use small gaskets for each plug. The only issue with doing that is it allows stuff to get into the plug wells even easier...
