Oil inside exhaust housing on new upgraded CT26

I bought an upgraded CT26 with .57 trim från Hybrid Motorsports.
The first I noticed was that it had big cracks around the wastegate! Then
I saw this big crack inside the exhaust housing today.
But the main problem is that I found oil inside the exhaust housing!!!
I had put a few drops of oil into the bearings yesterday and the turbo has
been laying on the garage table over the night. It was of course laying with the oil inlet on top for a few hours yesterday night, which is opposite of how it's mounted on the engine. Does that explain the oil leakage or is it a broken gasket??? Then I had it laying the "right" way over the night.
Because of this, I haven't been able to mount the tubo back on.
Since I'm going on vacation on Saturday with my Supra this is very urgent!!!
Does anyone know about this problem? Is it a broken gasket?

Thankful for quick answers!

mdc told me that depending on how you sit the turbo that oil can leak into the exhaust houseing and still be ok but thats cracks are definitly not ok

Phoenix, your best bet to get GOOD and HONEST work on your 57 trim, is going to be to contact Jon @ MDCMotorsports.

Seriously, cheaping out on the turbo will only lead to problems. It's DAMN hard to find an honest person to do turbocharger work these days :(

I got this answer from Jon at MDCMotorsports:
"If the oil is leaking through the seals & bearings from the turbing being set on
its ass end, then yes its normal. The seals have to vacuum on one side
(pcv system) and pressure on the other side (exhaust pressure or boost
pressure) in order to seal out the oil. Take away pressure or vacuum and
walah! They leak."

Is that true? Anyone here that knows a lot about turbos???

Yep. I may know how to match a turbo to an engine, or tune a turbo system, but Jon knows the internals of a turbocharger like the back of his hand :)

I mounted the turbo back on yesterday, and will finish the rest today.
So I'll notice if it works...

How do I attach images? Do I have to have an URL to the images???
