I recently bought a 87 supra turbo, so I bought a fresh set of new NGK wires and plugs. I always noticed hesitation when I tried to start the car. So when I was changing the plugs I noticed spark plug cyl. #6 was drenched in oil, and #5 had a little bit, the rest were bone dry. Even with the fresh set of wires and plugs it still hesitates a little bit when starting, so I know the oil has something to do with it. Any ideas on what it may be? valve cover gasket? spark plug seals?

my car hesitates most of the time when i start it up to.. some times takes 3 times to start it 
but after that it fires right up

yea mine has I believe to be the same problem as you Apostle....when I just recently changed my spark plugs and wires for NGK the #1 spark plug had fresh oil around it... has the hesitation and all....I had changed the spark plugs thinking it would stop the eradic idle and hesitation...well it stopped the idle jumping just not the hesitation lol

Same here awesome idle and better mpg, old plugs were corroded and what not. I'm going to replace the valve cover gasket this saturday, that should fix it. I had the same problem on my celica, after I changed the spark plug tube seals and valve cover gasket no more oil around the plugs. I'm kind of new around the 7m-gte's but I don't think they have spark plug tube seals.
well my MPG sucks right now cuz the #3 injectors o ring was blown to hell so im in the middle of replacing that...ill do valve cover gasket next
yeah i just recently noticed when i fire up the supra it idles rough like vibrates and shakes the whole car, after giving it some gas it mellows out, i just recently got iridium plugs and msd wires ill let you guys know how it goes
