Oil in intake side of turbo

Well took the intake off yesterday to get to the actuator. Found some oil on the intake side of the turbo and some gunk in the intercooler piping. Little side to side and vertical shaft play, but spins freely and boosts fine. Am i looking at a rebuild or is it too late. The car just turned over 90k also.

the oil *could* be from the PCV.

If there is shaft play though it sounds more likely that there is a turbo oil leak. If it a decient amout of oil? Or just a little tiny bit.

Yeah i am gonna check the pcv valve. I just installed a boost controller too, so i need take it easy till i can check that out. Thanks, guys.

yea i changed my accordian hose last night and i have like 1mm of shaft play and a dribble of oil in the hose. i dunno maybe seals the car has been overheated once.

normal. just checked my plugs and turbo last night (turbo is on its way out after 88k w/ the last 6 being at 12-15psi) little oil in the accordian hose and or turbo is normal

i should be ok to run 10psi though on the stock hg with just intake right?

I did make one run against a g35 today at 10psi seemed ok lol, no noises or anything.

i dont have pools but if i put my finger in there i pick up like a drop its clean now and i doubt taht hose has been taken off since original installation, i geuss i'll just check on it after about another 100 miles or till i get new bov and shims.

Meh its normal if your really worried about it pick up a catch can .
