I bought an oil relocation kit. I'm curious of where everyone has been putting their oil thermostat. I know it has to go before the filter I'm trying to find a really good spot for it. If there is any input from anyone with pictures would be very helpful.
Thanks

the way i have it set up in my head the filter is before the cooler as well. The only problem I am having is finding a place to put the thermostat. It seems no matter where I think it could go it ends up in the way of something. Any ideas?

block >>>>>>> filter>>>>>>> thermostat (cause you dont need to 'cool' cold oil)>>>>>> cooler with -10AN hoses.

most people put the thermostat in fog light area in there, it all depends on what you have for piping, and other junk though...

I thought about putting it there. I have my filter sitting in there and right now there is no room to put the thermostat in that area. I could put it there still, but would have to find a place for the filter where its easy to get to. I know I must seem a little picky.

The thermostat needs to be after the filter...that is unless you want it to divert 90 % of the oil straight to the motor (un-filtered) until the oil warms up to T-stat opening temp. Letting "picky" drive the location is foolish.

You can place the thermostat anywhere between the filter and cooler...it is not that big.
