Oil drips out exhaust?

Alright after I got my brothers supra going and we left the cat and back portion of the exhaust off. I started it up and have been running it, but it appears to be slowly dripping oil out of the exhaust. Is this coming from bad seals from the turbos? This car had been sitting awhile before I was asked to finish the project.

My first guess would be the turbo.

Is it smoking?

Good steps to follow (which worked for me) was:

Take off downpipe and inspect back of turbo for oil. Then take off the turbo and inspect the manifold for oil. If the manifold is clean, its most definatly your turbo.

If not, begin your research ;)

Its smoking good, really when it warms up. Its not coming into the manifold, thats why I was assuming the turbos, didn't know what kind of seal would go inside them?

Yes, the turbo oil seals fail reasonably regularly. Not to say that if you get them fixed it'll just die again, probably not for another 20 years! However, a good number of the ones in the field now that are still factory original are either dead or on their last legs.

Thats what I thought, just wanted some more opinions before I wasted my time pulling them off again.

time to go single......unless you know how to rebuild them

I've got a turbo guy in town. My brother actually has some IHI's but he would need a custom made adapter. I'll let him make the decision.
