hey guys, im sure this topic has been discussed countless times and I did do a search but I have a few more direct questions so thought it best to start a thread.

im planning on putting together my own oil cooling kit as a lot of the cheap ass kits out there use braided hoses that are far too long and the quality isnt very good anyway...and the japanese brand name kits are way too overpriced for what they are (plus i dont want to use braided hoses).

i was thinking of using speedflow style fittings with plain ol' rubber oil hoses and going from there. things i obviously need are:

1) a core
2) a sandwich adaptor plate to run lines from
3) a thermostat - earls? permacool/b&m?

summit seem to be pretty good for the speedflow fittings, but its the above three items im more concerned with: where's best place to source? which brand etc etc.

a remote filter would be preferable but not essential as it complicates things a bit more imo - filter isnt "that" hard to change.

engine is a 1JZ btw - not sure if 7M and 1JZ use the same sandwich adaptor.

cheers!

all 3 from summit also. Then have the best price at least.

1: B&M
2: Canton ( but there always out of stock :( )
3: Any of the 3 brands toy listed will work.

Last you are going full flow correct? If so you read the sticky about this right? Every thing is spelled out there that you need ;)
