It's Muratic Acid. Sold at any store that carries pool supplys, Home depot even carries it. Be careful with it as it will burn you and do not get close enough to inhale the vapors.

I hear lysergic acid works too ;)

Brake cleaner will do it if it hasn't set. Muriatic acid will do it if it has. Plus there are several commonly available products made for the job. Good 'ol pressure washing has always worked for me. Google around. The internet isn't just a global pornography network you know...

edit: AJ beat me....

Purple power is a pre-diluted degreeser. You need a pure degreeser...might be a little hard to get as those are mostly industrial grade chemicals. The acid will work but it will bleach your driveway lol. And don't let any of that stuff get on you or your car!

Find a restaurant goods wholesaler, and look for "Solves It." best full strength degreaser I've used.

I like that.... neurotic acid. Thanks for the laugh.

If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, buy the yellow Heavy Duty Degreaser with the green text on the bottle. You're supposed to dilute it like crazy for general purpose degreasing, but if you dilute it to 50/50, it works like crazy. I was messy working on the truck one time with brake fluid, and I sprayed that shit on there with that dilution ratio, and it pretty much wicked the fluid out of the pavement all by itself. There were even clean spots where the brake fluid were...LOL!

There's no need to post your posts in weird sizes/fonts/colours. We have different themes on the site and it can mess up viewing it for others. It usually works best for accenting something, and not for an entire message.

not a fan of the acid as it leaves worse marks...

there are plenty of good products that will wick it out of the concrete, look around for specifics...

We used to have a Jeep Cherokee that had a bad rear main leak. Anyway, while putting a new head on an 85 Honda Civic in the same spot we used to park the Jeep, gasoline dripped out of the fuel line overnight and covered that whole area of old oil from the Jeep. Well, after spraying off the gas it took every single bit of oil off the concrete and I could not tell there was ever any there.

Now I'm not formally suggesting you do that but it happened merely by accident with me and worked great! ;)

BTW, Muratic Acid is EXTREMELY dangerous. It will melt your skin off and the fumes are very toxic. If you go that route be very very careful. I've seen a couple of Muratic Acids accidents in my paramedic career and it wasn't pretty. It was disfiguring.
