oil burning causes misfire?

my turbos oil seals have just went, before the car gets a chance to warm up there is TONS of blue smoke billowing out of the tail pipe.

while it is doing this the car runs like its running on 5 cylinders.

can this be caused by oil fouling?

the oil burning seems to decrease after a few minutes of running like this, and the motor smooths out and runs good again when the smoke stops.

You've got to send alot of oil thru one cylinder to cause it to miss. I'd pull the plugs and have a look at them. If one is significantly worse than the others, there may be something other than turbo oil seals going on, like valve guide seals, rings or something.

All it takes is a little time of running with oil dumping into the cylinders for the spark plugs to get coated in carbon. After that they won't want to fire.

i spoke to a few guys around here. my friends 91t did the same thing, the turbo would burn lots of oil sometimes and when it did the car had a miss.
