.
not sure why anyone would want to run rotella... or any 40 weight

$1.40 a quart?! I'd buy almost any oil for $1.40 a quart, if nothing else it can be run in lawn mowers and such.

wondering why anyone would choose to run rotella?

napa gold, carquest blue = wix cq is almost always cheaper to boot (wixfilters.com you'll see napa uses last 4 of the wix number and cq replaces the 5 with an 8)

Im running JoeGibss LS30 synthetic (5w/30) with Wix filter. Besides fatory Toytota, I will only run Wix at this point. I had been using Baldwin, but the last can was so thin only 2 rotations of the cutter had it apart, and the only Purolator Gold I ran had the sealant not affix itself to the endcaps and filter media and actually was oozed down the side of the pleats, and not impressed with the bent metal for a bypass spring used. For years any wix I have cut open is solid, and the same quality throughout.
