Had my other buddy come take a gander at it today, one who will be helping me pull the motor, and it only knocks on startup when there isn't oil circulating. Right when the pump gets oil into the system it went away completely pretty much. I might be able to get away with just bearings.

Yup, I don't even want to start it up for people to hear it. Now I still have the problem of where to fix it and the time frame. This buddy of mine is leaving Friday until Sunday, I work every day this week, and I don't know my schedule next week. TJ is the only person available to give me a ride tomorrow, and even that might not happen.

going pretty much stock rebuild with HKS MHG and ARP everything
it better hold up to the abuse next year at the track lol
if it doesnt....then......

Well looks like I won't be able to pull the motor until Monday, and it needs to be taken to another location to do it. In the meantime I'm still trying to bum rides to work.

Hey, sorry to hear about the 7m woes guys. I have experienced some as well with mine, so I have decided to rip it out and put my 1J in it that I have just laying around. This is probably gonna happen over the winter or sooner once I find a new place to live that has a garage.

I too was at Street Life Tour but was in my DD 88 Celica All-Trac, I put it in the show since I figured it would be the only one there and it was. Disappointed I didn't get any awards or anything for the rarest car there. LOL

Wish I would have known you guys and gals were gonna be there, but thats what I get for not gettin on here in a while.
