Before when i dropped in my n/a jdm,compression numbers was all over the place and i just did a retorque on stock headbolts and stock HG.

Sometimes it works sometimes it don't depends sometimes how old the HG is.

i put 77ft/lbs on my metal head gasket, arp head bolts, block and head machined...gonna re torque them soon. Seems to be working fine for me.

Did you remove the rivit that lays on the block?
Did you have the timing belt rear cover machined?
Did you use rtv sealant at the rear timing cover?
