The following is simply my opinion. I believe there is just to many meets in this region. We have Indianapolis, Minnesota, Chicago, Kyana , a bunch of small meet n greet type Ohio meets, and now a Michigan meet. We need one big meet for this region.

Email Brandon at enslaved87@hotmail.com he has a shelf full of stock twins in his shop. We'll be coming down for the meet along with a couple other Supras but I'm sure he can just ship a pair to you.

There should be atleast 4 Supras coming down from Ontario/MI and we plan to attend Indy in May, MI in June, Chi in July & Toronto in August so it will be a BUSY summer.

Well I'm glad to see SOME kind of activity now.

I have no doubts it will be a fun weekend... but the more Supra's, the merrier!

Who is planning on dynoing, also? I'm not as concerned this year since I've made it open invite to some other cars,
But again...this is a SUPRA meet, and would love to have more Supra's dynoing than LS1's and Foxbody's.

Lets make this happen, guys! We're so very close to the meet! ALMOST soon enough to start getting an eye out for weather!!!!

Seriously? To many meets. Out of the meets you listed how many have you attended & participated in? Since I have been in the Supra community I have seen the participation gradually fall off each yr. The reasons are debatable but My first meets that I coordinated for the Kyana SOGI I had 35+ Supras show up each yr from 1999-2006 after that attendance has falling off to only 4 this past meet in Nov 2010. It takes money, alot of time & effort to coordinate a meet on the scale of those you mentioned weather 40+ supras show up or just 4. I think the days of waking up & looking out a hotel window & seeing 50 Supras in the parking lot Like Dayton & Mid Atlantic meets use to have are over unless yo fly out to Vegas.

With that said I plan on rolling up this year in my A70 along with my son in his IS300. His SC has issues.

Well Brandon & Jen used to go to Chicago up until about 5 years ago so they are looking forward to that and so am I for my first Chi town meet. Michigan is the first annual and Saif, the co-ordinator has alot of not only supras but other cars commited...mustangs, vettes, benz's porches etc.. Toronto has to be the best run meet I've ever attended. I went to my first TSC meet about 10 years ago and loved it. The executive runs a great weekend as well as monthly mini meets every first friday of each month. The August weekend meet usually gets any where from 30-50 supras each year. From Toronto, Montreal, MI, Ohio, Ill, NY, Manitoba, Alberta, and one from Texas once. it's like a smaller version of SILV. And Indy will be all of our first time so we are excited about that. As long as gas prices don't go ridiculously high all should be ok.

Steve, Glad to see you are still alive, Brother! Hope all is well. :)
I completely agree with you on the meets. I've only been around the Supra scene since 2004.
Even from then, memory still holds strong on how great the community was around here (midwest).
Don't get me wrong, I still have a blast with any meet... but it's absolutely discouraging and disappointing
to watch attendance fall on its' face year after year. We can only hope for the best at this point...

And "little" Steve has an IS300 now, too? Good grief. And good for him! What's the scoop with the SC?

I seriously didn't mean to step on any ones toes. Steve my father and I came to your meet in 09 but I didn't bring my car I have since rolled some of the parts into the current drag car build of which will be at your meet in the fall. You did a great job at putting the meet together and look forward to coming down again. Just about every meet that occurs in this region I try to post on Ohio Supras to help spread the word. With that said I still think if we combined into one big meet we could get the big number of Supras that back in the day came out. This year I went to the Texas Supra Nationals and it was the biggest it has ever been. I also went to the DSM shootout last year in 2010 that was the biggest meet in history for that event.

/\ No worries. I was just pointing out that no one in this region is going to fork over the effort, time & money that it takes to DRAW a big # of Supras like the old days. A lot of the older members have moved on to newer platforms. MK3's are almost 25yrs old & The MkIV's or nearly 17 yrs old now & most of the owners don't want to drive more then a cpl hundred miles or get them out of there home town at all. Thats why I think the multiple local meets, with some being bigger then others is all this region will see. Texas Supra Nationals is a great meet to attend & also makes my point. Its put together by MVP that owns SupraForums along with PowerHouse racing, TiTan, Hennessey etc. Its not just a Supra Meet but a major motorsport event.

Hey Jeff- Yea he has a 03 IS300. He still has his SC300 but it wont be done till late summer early fall. He has 2JZGTE in the garage he is tearing down & building up between College & work to swap into his SC.

What ever happened to his NA-T setup? I thought he was going the NA-T route, but then again i've been out of the loop for a while

Jeff I plan on making it out this year to snap some pics and some video footage. I was looking on craigslist today I think I saw your car for sale on there. I posted this meet up in the meets section in ohiosupras.

He did the NA-T. He was running that set up when he attended Indy2K10. His plan was to rebuild the 2JZGE due to some loose valves & still run the NA-T set up but he got a killer deal on a 2JZGTE Long block so he is going to clean it up with new seals & gaskets and swap that in with AEM. I may buy that 2JZGE from him & run it in my A70. He had a rough 95 Accord w/200K miles as a daily driver & traded it in on a mint 2003 IS300.

I still have a garage queen. Looking for a 7m crankshaft that I can pick up in the tri-state region. Also need a lightly used (or new) dampner/pulley to go with it. I was really trying to have the car back on the road by this meet, but I don't see it happening. We may just roll with the SC400 again.

Having Winged Warrior on a Sunday is a big drawback. Those of us who travel like to be home at a reasonable hour on Sunday to get ready for school/work.
