Odd idle...

When i start my car up, the RPM is almost perfect... When I drive it for a while it idles @ 2000 and i have to push hard on the break if i am at a light. Currently I am throwing no codes, and when i try to boost it feels like its bogging down. Then my wideband pegs out @ 9 meaning im getting too much fuel. Also when i let my foot off the gas it likes to stay @ that RPM

I was throwing Code 51 and 52, which according to the TSRM had to do with my TPS. I replaced my TPS hoping to resolve this issue.
Back in August, the engine was rebuilt by 7mgtepat and everything ran fine, and i did not have this problem. 2 weeks later it started to do this on my return trip to chicago from detroit.
The only thing i can think of, and i dunno how correct it is. But with the Lex Afm upgrade i could not use the rubber tube going from the AFM to the turbo anymore and the hose for the IAC is capped off.... Any ideas???

When you say you had to push the brake in hard did that mean that the brakes go a lot looser all of a sudden? Do you hear any vacume leaks, like hissing noises?

IAC? Do you mean the hardline (across/in front of the 3000 pipe) going to the ISC valve on the intake manifold is capped off?

Meaning, it keeps accellerating.

Yes where it went into the rubber hose from the pipe, i have it capped at the pipe, cause there is no spot near the AFM anymore.

Check your throttle linkage it may be stuck.

If that's it grease it and it should be fine.
Ill give it a shot, altho it seemed fine.

Wait, so your ISC is capped off? If so, i'm guessing that's likely your pro blem.

Not just likely...that is his problem ;)

Dude (VodkaKnight)...ISC means Idle Speed Control valve. It uses air via a stepper motor to control idle...block off it's air source (like you did) and guess what? It no workie any more. Unblock the pipe and put one of those little cone air filters on it so it can get air. Reset you ECU by pulling the EFI fuse for 30 sec...your ECU needs to re-learn a few correct sensor inputs..

Refrain from blocking off air, pressure, or vacuum lines in the future unless you KNOW what it's purpose is. :3d_frown:

I knew what was capped, i was not quite sure how it worked. IAC meaning idle air controll, i didnt know it was called ISC... Knew it had somthing to do with the idle which is why i mentioned it. I had one of those cone filters on there... It blew it off and ran like shit :( I will see if i still have one around in the box of shit i didnt end up keeping on the car.
