There's an IDL switch in the AFM and one in the TPS, testing is covered in the test routine in the TSRM.
EDIT: Allow me to correct and specify that the AFM has the FC switch, trouble with that will cause the fuel pump to cut out.

As CRE said it's a switch in the TPS. Supposed to be closed when the throttle is closed. With it open the idle speed control and stabilization systems won't operate. It you don't have a code 51 it's working so forget about it.
ok, on my way to work tonight (20 min drive) it ran good, the idle bounced a couple times randomly...not a lot though.....now on my way home the rpms didnt bounce at all but when I got to a stop sign the rpms bounced twice and the car died...then wouldnt start, then after about 15 min the car started....got home quickly, checked the codes...and nothing. Does anyone have any clue what could be going on I really have no clue at this point. any help would be great.
