I was wondering if anyone has used it and are there any comments on it. I also am wondering if they are a direct replacement and what would i have to have to install this with a n/a diff

It's completely the wrong size in every way last I knew, it doesn't work on our cars. Someone tried to get them to fix the issue and they don't seem to know enough or care to fix it...

OBX may have fixed the issues since people tried to fit it in the A70 diff case, but at the time, measurements were off that prevented it from being properly set up.

When I was going to UTI they were telling us that you can convert open diffs. to LSDs! I believe you have to add some clutch disks on the side gears and used the proper fluids. Idk if anyone has done this for the supra but it would be nice to here about it!

i think the best way is to prolly try to call obx and see if they did fix this known or unknown problem which I might do tomorrow but thanks to everyone for their insight in to this issue of mine but if anyone has anything else to say about this product I would love to hear the opionions on it

Why not just buy one of the units already available that's proven to work? Kaaz and Cusco both make one and have proven results. Hell, TRD still has theirs available last I checked, for that matter.

Well, that is how an LSD works. The clutch pack prevents the side gears from walking around, forcing it to rotate as a unit.

It's not as easy as slapping parts in there to convert and open carrier to limited slip. I'd think the cost of the clutch discs, machine work, other parts.... you'd be over the cost of an aftermarket diff.

Not as easy as what?

Buying the diff assembly is how I would do it.

There talking about adding clutch packs and such to an open diff. Which is retarded when you can junkyard a diff for a fraction of the cost.
