OBX Headers

I have just recently purchased the OBX Headers.

i installed the headers on the car, but the downpipe type thing was lying around and someone stole it.

What i need is someone to go and measure the pipe and give me the specs on it. I am going to take the numbers to an exhaust shop and have them make me a pipe.

Also open to suggestions on other ways to make it work.

Here's where I put the o2 sensor on mine, although I'd recommend moving it down a little as its a little close to the frame. Have the shop make your new one out of 2.5", and weld the "y" to the header if they can. The stainless is pretty slick, and the clamps don't bite hard enough to keep it from slipping off.
Wide open header is a little loud :biglaugh:

yeah it is so loud that i can barely drive it around without people looking at me like they are going to kill me because of the noise. :naughty: lol don't care

Where did u order yours at? Did you have to modify anything it make it fit cause i have heard that some aftermarket headers you'll have to modify it a bit.

Sorry, meant to get this on yesterday for ya, but got a little... busy. Anyway, From the cat. flange to the start of the bend is 26". From there to the top of the "Y" is about 7". Outta curiosity, where's the rest of your exhaust? The guy at the exhaust shop should be able to set everything for you, and then make the piece your missing to fit. Don't forget to put an o2 bung in it. The closer to the Y the better.

Akito: Got mine on Ebay from JNE Power($305 shipped, iirc), but I didn't see anymore listed. You have to modify the o2 sensor mount. It's too far back, and too long. The link in my post above shows where I put a standard o2 bung. Weld the collector to the main body of the header. They slip apart.


\/ \/ Edit: Forgot about that. Had to cut down the front top corner to fit under that coolant housing thats under the distributor.

i got my headers off ebay.

all we had to do to make them fit was "sand off" the corner a bit and then it fit in perfectly.

i paid $215 shipped on ebay. It's a wonder header. Just need Quite a bit of modification, Stock downpipe is 2"!!!!! stock was 2.25" or maybe ever 2.5" .... Get the ypipe welded.. Cut that Bullcrap o2 sensor deal off the header and weld an o2 bung in place.. then screw ur sensor in so it's in Direct-Flow of the exhaust, the car will run better after that.. better MPG... Then you'll have to have them Bend the Crap out of that downpipe to Fit to the cat right, since it's a cock-eyed flange... I didn't have them bend it away from the frame, So doing a clutch or starter job... while tilting the engine, It prevents it so much!! i want to get it rebent.. and possibly get a 2.5" pipe welded rather than that 2"!!!!!! And the Flange that bolts to the head had to be grinded down alot to fit next to the thermostat housing and Under the Distributer.

wow!! i must have got a good fitting header because it took 2 minutes of grinding the corner and it went in like a dream.

i am taking it to the exhaust shop in the morning to have the pipe made.

then i am going to sell it because i now own a turbo supra.

I have the OBX header and the only thing had to do was grind the corner down to fit around the water housing and redo the o2 sensor.... The clamps are shit the leak do recommened getting the down pipe welded on...
