Hi Guys,

New to the site, planned to do a full introduction with pictures and ideas for my '89 Supra but certain circumstances have caused me to come to here for advice!

Trying to get the rego transferred and completed but before I do that I need to get a Certificate of Roadworthiness (blue slip). Took it in yesterday feeling pretty hesitant, I have read elsewhere online that people had problems with their modifications and that if you had modified anything, firstly it must be legal (no BOV's or Pod Filter's) and then have an Engineer's report to confirm that they are safe and within the restriced guidlines. Having already bought the car with a few mod's, I havent put anything on myself.

In the end, the garage called me and told me it had failed and that I had to go through the long list of issues...
I go in and it turns out it fails on the BOV, pod filter, radiator grill, ignition key barrel faulty, brakes failed due to being spongey, Import plate missing (was imported from Japan 6 years ago), oil leaks, rack boots, and side indicator was smashed (only did that in a bloody carpark the other day :( )

So yeah in terms of the mechanical and cosmetic issues, I do want to get those fixed, but the mods I am not going to change, I love the BOV it makes a turbo car, and this is my first!

So I understand that the standards some garages set are higher than others, and that some garages don't even look at mods or issues like that..
Im simply appealing to anyone in the Sydney area if they know some garage that would be able to help me out?

Any help or advice at this point would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers

Willem

Repair the car or don't register it. Your call. No engineer will pass a BOV or pod filter as they contravene EPA legislation.

To make up for your terrible mistake, I think you should petition to have this thread moved into Theresa's area, post pictures of some hot young lady named Sydney wearing nothing but a blue hat, and start your original thread over without any misleading abbreviations. :)
