Been running the living piss out of my car with NPRs in it. At 10psi. Runs just fine. No probs yet.

"Bad Batch" Not likely as a "Batch" fir these guys is probably 10000+ units if this were the case it'd be a well known failure issue.
Detonate an engine and it WILL break the ringlands, only difference between Forged and Cast is how often and how hard you can do this before they break.
