Well I got my car back from the tranny shop today. After I paid they told me they usually make lists of problems they found on the car in general. Well he tells me speeo jumps ( I knew this) boost gauge don't work right (Stock I know) Then he says it has an exaust leak and it is skipping. WELL when i dropped it off it surely was not skipping it purred like a kitten. as for the exaust leak I have never heard it. NOW I DO! My question is if they did the trans work then put the original gasket back in the pipe to manifold could it be the reason for the leak. Secondly if it is then would that cause it so skip like crazy? the engine light is not on but I am going to pull codes and examine when it cools down. I don't want to blame them till i am sure. They are actually the most talked about transmission shop around here been in business for 50 yrs.

maybe the gasket is just old and finally went after being taken off.... just let them know that there wasn't an exhaust leak before. Get it checked out and see exactly were it is coming from. If its just an old bad gasket then buy a new one n pop it in.

It runs BAD. If it ran like this when I drove it the first time I would have not bought it. I will check that gasket out will probably call them tomorrow. It skips during ALL acceleration. Mild to WOT. Like a stutter that don't stop. Mild at idle

Now that it has cooled down I have found a spot that has a hole in it. It actually looks like it was cut with a torch or it got hot and blew a small line out. It is located under the turbo at the top of the pipe (were it looks ribbed if you know what i am referring to) very close to the turbo. I am wondering if this could have happened naturally or by them. I would think they would not take the exaust loose there would they?

Can you get a picture? If they were doing transmission work then I'm sure that they pulled the DP off. And the nuts on the studs (either the turbo or the elbow) always come off easier if you heat the up first, from my experience.

broken flex section, common as hell, especially when the stock downpipe gets stuck on the tranny when they drop it...

been through it with a shop as well, replace the downpipe (or get them to...)
