Hello everyone, the name is Brad. i am not new to the site but i have never posted. I made good use of the search feature though which i have seen people tell others that they need to learn to use it. For the most part everyone seems to be very knowledgeable and i thanks everyone for the answers i got just from the search feature.

I currently own a 88 Supra, 7mge. I bought it off an old guy that was selling it cause his son who was the original owner ran away from home a yr previous. sucks for him huh? Ran fine till it recently developed rod knock. still actually runs well but with a knock. the kid kind of butchered the body. Seems to me he tried to paint it himself with regular cheap spray paint. I started sanding the body down and priming as i go to smooth it out for a real paint job. I am now thinking of parting it out. I dont have the time to do the work. Life schedule is too hectic.

They are sweet cars, pretty quick too, now if i just had a turbo. i want to put one on but dont have the time to do it. i do have pictures but they are not on this laptop yet, i just got it. i will post them but trust me the body needs a good sanding and paint job. it not as bad as i make it sound just not pretty. i will post them and explain what i am talkin about if your interested. Mechanically it is in pretty good shape. one problem is that dam rod knock. Me and my buddy replaced the crankshaft and all the bearings and that made it quieter but it still knocks. I figured also since i am replacing the crankshaft why not go with a 6mge crankshaft considering its lighter and you gain 500 rpm before redline. thanks for the convo guys. let me know if you would like to see the pics with an explaination of what i am talking about body wise.

Supra28 - Nice car, like the color
