Can Tein RA coilover springs be sucessfully cut down, for a lower ride? Or, will it completely ruin the rebound ability of the strut? I'm all the way down to the bottom, and it's still not low enough!!!:icon_mad:

Maybe shorter springs with Helpers?

how close are the bump stops?

What he said.

But I am going to guess going too low on a coilover not meant to be low will effect over all performance of them. Mostly because you are reducing the shock travel and will probably be riding on the bump stops a lot.

RAs not adjustable? How low do you want to go, most coilovers will let the damn car scrape the ground before they stop lowering it...most! not all. Figured RAs would give you a really good height adjustment.

17" wheels according to his profile... unless the, now looking discontinued, RAs had very limited adjustment range they should allow it to be plenty low.

Unless the original poster is just completely unreasonable, which I don't discount as being a possibility.

Don't you have the option to increase the spring pre-load (I.E. compress the spring to increase the force and lower the ride) and then adjust the height seperately Tom? How low are you wanting to go? With my TEIN Flex Control Master's I've been able to drop my Supra on the frame with ease on 17" rims.

Thanks to all that answered, and were curious too! The "old school" RA's are adjusted as low as they'll go, and I'm still not tucking the rear tire into the fenderwell. Fronts are a little closer to where I want to be, but the rears are ruining my 'Dorifto' look I was hoping for. My new rims are 17x9, (f) 30mm, w/ a 15mm spacer=15mm offset, and rears are 17x9.5" w/ a 15mm offset. Currently on an ugly 235/45-17 stretched on the 9.5" rear, (no fender roll!) That'll pretty much tell ya', it's not low enough!:icon_mad:

Photo's later...too cold out right now!:aigo:!

^ Do ya' think?! LOL! Not now, almost XMas, but you're right.
Crappy cell photo to hold everyone over. Cars filthy, and I have already taken alot of grief, for putting on "cheapo chinese" wheels, so save it!!!
