I've been looking at plenty of threads that discuss Idle, and what can cause a rough or loping idle. Unfortunately, non seem to quite match what is happening to me.
My problems started when the I/C piping from the intake manifold going to the I/C, aka the "3000" piping, would blow off of it's coupler. Just enough to have air escape, but not disconnect completely when in boost. For obvious reasons this would cause problems, so I secured the piping and all seemed well. However, a couple days later when going into neutral at a red light, the idle dropped under 500rpm, and then started bouncing up and down around 500. So in my research I’ve heard everything from adjusting the BOV to faulty ISCV's. So I decided to set my BOV a little softer, which also helped. But yet again, it still has problems to the point where the idle will drop dangerously low, or even stall. This only happens on occasion though, other times the revs will slowly drop to a perfect idle, and have no problems, but other times it will drop all the way down and dance around 500, or even stall. I'm fairly confused by how inconsistent this occurrence is. So any ideas or suggestions are welcomed with open arms!
PS. Would converting the BOV into a recirc help my problem?
BTW, the only modifications that I have performed between when I did not have the idle problem, and when I have is installing new NGK iridium spark plugs.
Thank you in advance!
