i just found it funny how the problem went away after switching gas before.... so thats why i asked

Code 52, knock sensor. Mmm. I just got done dealing with mine. FWIW, if I drove slow my check engine light wouldn't come on, but the second I started getting up over 2500 RPM the light would come on. It turned out to be bad wiring which I fixed with Shaeffs knock sensor rewire kit. You're lucky you only have one knock sensor if you need to do the rewire or change it. The rear knock sensor was a BITCH to get to.

dc: code 52 requires parameters be met in load, rpm, and time before it turns the MIL on. I'd tell you what they are but then I'd have to kill ya ;)

viper: You have a wiring or sensor problem. Most likely wiring.

Lol either way, it's not there bugging me and making the car feel sluggish.

But I agree, it's probably the wiring. But don't be disappointed when you do the rewire and the code is still there. Parts on the car are getting old. Time to replace a lot of things.

yea.. i'm gonna get some wire from work later today and just do the rewire... i just hope i can make it to canada since i've been waiting for this trip for a year
