NOPI

Well i was wondering....I go to Nopi each year and i really don't see a lot of mkIII supras, Except the MKIV's in the show and mkIII's in the parking lot....lol...I mean most of the mkIV's have a lot of money dumped into them......but i see a lot of nice MkIII supras on this site that have money in them too and i would want us to be able to show off what we got, at one of the biggest car shows i've ever been too....Well i know there is a car club section and i was seeing if we could start a supra mania club thing or something to let people know what we're doing....or somthiNG!....maybe it sounds stupid i dunno...just a thought

The only conflict i saw was....that a lot of the people on this site are located in different places all over the world...so i mean...I live near ATL Georgia, where they hold the 2007 NOPI NATIONALS MOTORSPORTS SUPERSHOW Atlanta Motor Speedway Hampton GA 09/10/07 09/15/07.

Supposably, the biggest show they have and is.......but i could be wrong....

I don't think everyone would go or wanna travel far for it....ehhh....
It would be BadArse though....
I dunno if that helps any....whatever....

i went to nopi nationals 3 years in a row i stopped going because i cant stand the amount of rice and hondas there i had more fun partying at the hotel than i did at the show.

75% of the show is civics then theres like 10% dsms and other shit they need some real racing like the other nopi events.

yeah i noticed some rice but not A whole lot...I saw a lot of Subaru's...maybe it was the gate i went in at....i dunno....i mean the last one i went to was in a 1973 nova....4 door, primer, everything....yeah...it was weird...i think i was the only nova there....

its been awhile since i went maybe its diffrent now but the last show i went too they had atleast 85% of the whole infeild taped off and it was nothing but hondas with huge wings and i said fuck this show its gettin way to out of control with the rice.

you don't have to be fast to go out and support an event. I think one of the problems with these events that people have the wrong frame of mind . Instead of going to be a spectator why not go and participate. I took my car to the races when it was only a 15 sec car and bone stock. I think you would all enjoy these event more if you participated and got to know some of the guys with (ricer hondas). My 2 cents

i don't hate ricers, it's just most ricers(especially honda's)(Maybe I'm stereotyping) tend talk a bunch of smack and think they have a super fast car that can beat anything because they have v-tec, intake, Exhaust canister.....Now i don't mind Honda and I'm not saying they aren't fast, or can't be made fast....Anything can be done to anything depending how much money, time yah got;]

But some of the ricers are cool and wanted a car like mine...but when there is only 6 including mine in this town Honda is all yah got...so...yeah...lol

No drag racing but I thought they did have a drift event. I would go just to

Now the Suprashootout (it's no longer suprashootout, more like supra, z, and rx7 shootout) hosted by Speedforsale is the one to go to. Track day and drag day + dyno + show + prizes. It's in October. Everyone needs to come to that one. (not affiliated with Speedforsale..... Just would like to see more MK3s at these events.)

I have been to the nopi nats in GA for 7 yrs now I like it. It is a car show. There are some fun things to do there. drift show, small drift competition. The burn out is cool for about ten minutes. I know one yr I went there was free dyno runs. There is a autocross track outside one yr you got to drive eclipse's
one yr you could drive either a 350z,sti or rsx on the course. This was free it was the bfg challenge. I got to meet chunky the drifter there as well. I will be there again this yr. There are a lot of show/cheesey cars there as well. There are a lot a nice cars there too!

I would drive my supra down for that but I wouldn't run it there. That would be a long way home if I broke something. I would say I would dyno but there is nothing fun about a 300hp supra on a dyno.
