Hey All,

jst picked up a 88 targa turbo with Auto. I'm looking to find a shop in the Miami area thats reputable that can handle a tranny swap. Any suggestions and a round about price for this type of job.

Welcome to SM, and Miami is where it's at. Do you already have the transmission for the swap? As far as this thread goes. :ttiwwp:

Miami and Supra speccific. Dunno of any. I know Dynamic Turbo close to the airport (if they still exsist).

Orlando is a hike away but Titan IS a specialty Supra shop.

You already have the R154 + all the hardware (ie flywheel, clutch etc)?

My thought as well. Pretty sure you could buy an entire set of tools, jack, jackstands, tranny jack, etc and still spend less than paying them to do that.

I might be wrong though...

Yeah I have nothing as of now. And no I wouldn't go to Titan! I rather pay some weekend warrior than some high end name.

the 88 is an easy swap. ive done it but im all the way in canada. once you have the parts its literally unbolt and replace. took me 8 hours to do the swap.

Thats fine but I rather hear of someone that has used them ( shops ) and have had a good experience.
