Me and a friend have been in the Supra realm for some time. We have had a total of 4 mkiii's and have had them inside and out. We swapped a turbo motor and tranny out of a 89 into a non turbo car a 88. We swapped the harness with the motor and hook it up to a JDM 7mgt M/T ECU. It ran great and everything worked until my friend floated the valves. It got parked and has sat since, we drained the fuel system first. While it was sitting though we decided to try and work out some electrical issues with the lighting system. Then we both got busy and it sat again for some while. Now we are trying to get it running again and have a couple of problems. 1. we cant find a wiring diagram for the fuse and relay panel under the hood and there are some wires cut. I think we have that figured out though. We have got it cranking but it is not getting spark. We have checked the igniter and it is good as well as the coil packs, but however we are not getting power to the igniter. I have checked the ECU and as far as i can tell it is fine. Does anyone on here have some suggestions as to what to look for? Also is there supposed to be a ground wire on the coil packs and when we were trying to crank it one time my friend put his hand on top of the coil packs and a exposed plug wire end got him pretty good, which means it was getting spark, but now it is not, is it possible that he shorted something out with his hand...?

There is suppose to be a ground from the coil pack to the head. Are you sure you did figure out those wires? You may want to re-check that. as far as the ECU goes, have you smelled it? Check to see if you can smell a burnt smell. I doubt it is your ECU, but being sure always give you the upper hand.
Ill add a ground wire tonight and check out the smells....
My new Spark plug wires should be in today as well so well have to see
And no im not sure we got it figured out we just kinda tied the Power wires together and the grounds together because after all most of them are just jumpered to one another.
