hi there, (sorry for the poor english, i'm from quebec)

last summer, i had a 86.5 supra with a broken 7mge. I decided to put in it a 7mgte. I bought it and I installed it. Everything seemed fine, and then i tried to start it.
The starter spin, but there is no spark.

When i plug the fuel pump directly to the battery, it work, but not when i turn the key. I really dont understand.

I know that the first time that i plugged everything my ground was not good on the engine and when i hooked up everything, the wiper started (wich is akward)

What i tried:
I changed the main relay, the ignitor, and the crank angle sensor, still no result. I tried it also with my 86.5 7mge ecu, and still no difference. There is no check engine (but i also saw that i dont have any knock sensor and some people told me that it's normal because they need it for diagnostic)

so i dont really know what to look for... the only thing that i saw that i dont understand is that my plugs are gray and the one on my ecu is yellow (and i tried a 89 jdm ecu and i couldn't hook it up to see if it would change something)

any idea?

Thanks

sam

well it sounds like a ground, or did you check you EFI fuse? you will need to get knock sensors on that motor.

as for the harness. it could be your harnes as the 87 and post 89 are different. try to put the stock jdm ecu on and try im sure that might help it spark.
