no signals or flashers..

noticed that neither work today after looking down and seeing no green arrow or clicking noise when I tried the turn signal stalk of flasher switch..

turns out, I had left the flasher switch on at some point, and I'm not sure why but the battery didn't go dead. I'm guessing a fuse or relay bit the dust instead..

headlights and parking lights work, in addition to, the taillights.


what should I be checking if both of these do not come on at all?




(I didn't use search because I'm heading to class and was hoping for a quick answer)

1st thing to check is your hazard light switch. i left mine unplugged, and none of the signal lights worked.

well, I checked that first thing while I was at a stop light.. I pulled the clip near the flasher switch and checked to see if it was plugged in, though I need to pull the panel completely and make 100% sure.

for now, let's assume that the switch is plugged in properly, and this is an entirely a separate issue.



just to be clear, I consider the switch to be the most reasonable cause.. but I cannot get to it at the moment. that's the only reason I wish to continue to have others add their input.

So far as I know that's the only thing that would kill both systems since IIRC the flasher would just be full on if it failed. Though that's assuming you checked the fuse already...
