Hey Fellas

I finally got her running but when I go to drive it falls on its face then takes off. So I double check timing, I check for boost leaks and everything is ok.
So I pull codes even though the engine light didnt come on and I get 51. I dont remember this # so I check the book and its not their so I made sure by checking 3 times and having my brother look at it and he got the same thing. Any ideas what this is guys or is it just telling me that theirs no codes? Any ideas what could be the problem?

Guys

Ive been playing with the tps since 9 this morning and its still doing the same shit:cry: . I tried using the ohm meter to recalibrate but Im not sure im doing it right becuase the readings where nothing close to the ones in the book. I have the ohm meter set [0)))] is that right? I tried just adjusting it all the way counter clockwise and clockwise and it seems better clockwise but then it hits fuel cut.

The settings on the ohm meter are-0))) 200,2k,20k,200k,2m,20m.

I also forgot to mention that the car has a nasty poping to it at idle.

Guys I appreciate all your help on this thanks.

Make sure you look at the TSRM diagram correctly. The picture drawn shows the connector opposite as it appears on the car. The pins you need are actually the bottom 2.

It should flip from continuity to no continuity (0 to OL), not change an ohm value.

Thanks for the info I didnt even notice the diagram I appreciate that:biglaugh: . Know if does change in ohm reading does it mean its time for a new tps? One more question the display on my ohmm meter should show (0-0L) when it goes (0L) just tighten it up and its done for adjustment?

Thanks again for all your help guys I dont know what I would do without this commuinity.
