I have swapped my 7mgte from my 87 supra into my 91 cressida. I swapped out the pump for a front sump unit and i shimmed it for good measure, I started the car and i have no oil pressure on a mechanical gauge...The pump is brand new. The only other thing i had to add to the car is an oil cooler with remote mounted filter. Someone chime in and help on this Please!! Could the oil pump gear not be turning the pump? did that have to be changed when changing the pump? Or is something else going on? I do have oil in all the lines and in the oil cooler so it is circulating in the system.. just no pressure on the gauge..
