damn that sucks.. i plowed mine into a parked car one night doing about 30mph.. tweaked the frame out about 5/8" had to get that pulled and a new core sup put in.along with hood, header pannel, head lamps ,intercooler, bumper and supports other random shit along with paint.spent about $2500. oh yeah after getting hit in the face with the air bag i went with an aftermarket wheel as well... that hurt. anyway good luck with whatever you do

If he had been driving a Honda that damage would have been cut in half if not more.

agreed. i used to own an 89 Si hatch before the supra. i hit a patch of ice.well.. the entire street was ice.but anyway. i hit a tree with it doing about 10 or 15 mph and it almost did nothing.. the weight of the supra is the killer as its more forward momentum than a honda

hey Guy,
Sorry about your mishap. I recently sold a 90 turbo to a guy in Kentucky as a parts car. The body was in very good shape. He has stripped the inside, motor, and trany, but car still has the LSD. He has the shell on E-bay now, and it was only $51 bucks last night. I found that shipping a car wasn't as expensive as I thought. Also, he might sell you everything you need to repair yours (depending n frame damage I guess. He occasionally posts parts on here too. Great guy from my dealing with him. I bought a 91 from him at the time he bought my "fixer up" 90. If you are interested, check Ebay, or shoot me a PM.

Sheesh, what a crime. You'll find another one tho, I only hope your insurrance pays you well, and not some $1100 bs cuz it's an old car.

Let this be a lesson to all you clever guys who removed your front crash beam. Without his crash beam, I'm SURE those pics would have been gruesome to look at, and he'd most likely have much worse injuries.

Glad your ok first. Sucks to lose another one. I lost one two years ago or so from a female on a cell phone.

What exactly is black ice? Anything like green or red?

yikes man, thats is a solid hit..how fast,?? sorry to hear it, glad your ok.
it should be called clear ice. or tricky ice, or dark ice.. transparent ice.. vanilla ice i dunno..

edit, its ice thats not supposed to be there!!! like in a corner where the trees shield the frost on the road, and the sun hits it for a few to melt it and THEN it re-freezes as a sheet of "black ice"

There are still thousands of them out its just a matter of finding where there located. Most of them fall in to these groups.

A large percent of grandmas own supras and most of them are turbo autos.

then you have the ricers that gets a hold of them and make them hideous most of these are n/a.

Then you have the regular tunner who either builds them up nice or the tunners that forget the fact there an old and ignore maintience on them.

The rest of them are under trees and in backyards waiting to be found by one of us to be rebuilt.

I found mine under a tree...literally. It had just come in to a used dealership about 50 miles from my house the day before...I went and saw it before they got to cleaning it or anything and put a hold on it.

Sorry to hear about that, I was taking a back road home last month and accelerating through 3rd gear i hit black ice, right has boost kicked in, and i was aimed at a guard rail before i knew what hit me, i got sideways but ended up straight again before my friend with AWD hit me from behind. I'm scared bringing my car out on cold nights now. Hope you get another as clean.

Is that a frame rack??? Holy shit dude I thought my accident was bad because I couldn't drive away(broken tie rod). Shit mine can buff out compared to yours. What a sad week for supras.
