Yesterday 1/16/06 @ 6am est. I had an accident on the BQE. I was about to switch lanes right from the ramp when the wheel jammed all the way to the left. I flew across all three lanes and hit the concrete divider. This all happened on the Morgan/Meeker ramp going towards the Bronx. I was at the hospital for six hours. Thankfully, I walked away with only muscle sprains from my neck to my lower back. Attached are two pics of the supra.

Damn, that sucks. At least you didnt get hurt, had you been driving a honda, I bet you wouldnt have been as fortunate. Hope things work out for you and you are able to get another supra.

Damn man. Sorry to hear that. I lost mine to an accident (a wall) Nov. 04. Now I have a 1jz!!! Just pull the motor and everything else usable. Sell em to get funds towards another one. Hope everything works out for you.

Sorry to hear that. These are e reasons why i have a winter car. I couldn't imagine getting in an accident on a freeway. Must have been the scariest thing not having any control on a busy freeway.

Glad you're ok, except a few bruised muscles.

[separate topic]: can you tell us how fast you were going? was there any cab intrusion? from the front it doesn't look like it. how about some side shots and driver interior shots?

what i'm getting at with this is how well the mkiii holds up to front crash. there is a similar thread of SF, but maybe we can get one here. pics of mkiii that have been in accidents and how well they held up. [/separate topic]

Yet another testament to the strength and rigidity of the A70 chassis.
Good to hear (read) from you that you're OK, and it's a damn shame that another MK3 had to go down like that, but, as Dew511 said, life goes on, regain funds and get another!!!

I mean, jeez.. look at my car. lol

My plans are to get another one. I have to much money on parts that are sitting in my room. I was going to put all these parts on this coming sunday but now it has to wait. Nothing really happened to the interior. Once i get the other, I'll use this one as a parts car. The car had only 101,1xx original miles. Now i gotta search for another.....

nice to see those crumple zones did their job, saved you from eating your steering wheel. pretty amazing that after being pushed back a foot your headlamps didnt even break. take care hope the pain in your back and neck doesnt come back to haunt you, thats the important part.
