I've considered Shaved Moldings, Stereo Antennae, Rear Wiper, Washer Nozzles Since almost all the components have been Removed for weight loss and track performance. But My issue is I shelled out near $50 For my JDM Bubble Side Repeaters and Without the molding They'd Prolly look like crap. There could be a way to fix that but I want to make sure No punk-ass kids in my Apartment wont Rip them off.... Lil Bastards :3d_frown:

If you are worried about $50 side markers you are not up to the task of paying to shave the moldings, antenna etc.. I had 200 hours into the body work on my car, I would say 50-80 on the moldings alone now multiply that by say $70 shop rate and its $5000+ and thats not even with the paint cost!! The shaving was all done with steel no filling it up with "bondo" like I have seen before.

i think shaved moldings look way better than rusted, falling apart ones.. like on my car :(

This is what brought me to shave them in the first place, and the fact that I worked in a body shop and had all the rescorces I needed to do this. I wanted something that looked different, but clean. I now have a Trial front lip and Turbo A duct on the front.

I also did all the body work on Tekdeus' project widebody, I shaved the small molding that runs down the 89+ side moldings to make a smooth clean look. It is very subtle.

Jayhall, thanks for the pic from the rear at the track, I havent seen that one before.

Yup I also initially shaved the mini molding ontop of the molding thing and really liked the result from that alone. Sorta gave a more solid aggressive look. I think taking those little sub-moldings off has a great affect on the car without losing the moldings altogether.

And now I am experimenting with a clear-painted back molding. Again with no submolding of course.

To each their own I suppose, I personally didn't think it would look good, but as in almost anything, if it's well done and not just hacked together the results are often surprising. I actually like all three ways personally.
