well fist thing. your bov isnt going to blow off unless your turbo has spooled. it will not blow off reving at an idle.

your bov is going off, its actuated by the chaning vacuum/pressure differintal in the intake manifold. if your on the stock bov you most likely wont really hear it.

why do you want to make it go out? do you just love attracting attention? like showing off your hella jdm bov to your honda friends?

and when you drive the car you have boost right? but not at an idle?

The turbo spools under load. There is no load on the turbo at idle. Free revving the motor doesn't produce enough load to create positive manifold pressure, and as such, the BPV/BOV will not purge, and if it does, it's likely that you won't hear it.

i have a hks bov and i am not trying to necessary make it blow off at idle but i have no boost and i can't figur out why. i checked all of the vac. hoses and everything looks good. the intercooler hoses look fine also, however if ther is a leak shouldn't the turbo still spool. at idle with the intake hose off the turbo spins but i am lost.

by the way what is a vtak?

Doubt it as I've never seen them come off, and intentionally taking them off is a chore...

More than likely it's a boost leak, leaking BOV, exhaust leaks pre-turbo, or a clogged exhaust (common with a stock downpipe).

AHEM wastegate atuator rod came undone probably, check it and make sure that rod is still on the nipple. theres your issue sir

It would be more likely that he has a large boost leak, like from the chargepipe right off the compressor side of the turbo...

idk.. but as far as mods go the car was a na that i swaped. put on an air filter, metal hgk, arps, thats really it. i wanted to get this down before i did anything else.. i just drove it and while driving the boost gauge will barly go past 0. i tapped the boost gauge off of the little nipple on the back of the intake. :1zhelp::1zhelp:

i know that i cant get 35psi now but some would be nice. when i drive the bov does blow off when changing gears so i am to think that i am building some boost...:cry::cry:

you can make a boost leak tester that goes into accordian pipe (basicly a plug with a way to attach a compressor to it)
