no boost

So I'm driving home from school. The car starts to kindof wistle and when I punch it I get no boost. At idle my vac is btw about 15. What could it be.

I have a 57 trim ct26, walbro fp

i checked all the hoses and everthing was good.. my oil was a little low so i toped it off but i cant think of anything else?

15 what? mmHg? psi? If it's mmHg you DO have a leak and you need to check again.

Did you notice any black smoke under boost? Rough idle?

Triple check every clamp and every hose.

Isnt the spec for mmHg -17 or lower at idle? Mines around -18 -19 mmHg at idle.

Yeah vac should be 17-21 inHg

no black smoke and no rough idle.. but i did get boost the yesterday, so that tells me that its a leak..
question is where. it comes and goes, i get boost then it will wistle..

Make yourself a boost leak tester. Test it properly.

Hve you installed anything that required you to remove any IC piping lately?? Also, check the IC pipe coming off the turbo... It is one of the pipes that is usually most prone to fail.

I worked on two cars with this problem. Boost leak most likely.

Check the lower ic hose that attaches to the turbo. They are almost always the culprit. They get brittle and crack at the joint to the turbo where all the heat is. If you dont want to jack the car up, Take the accordian hose and afm off. Then you can get to it pretty easy.
