No boost 1jz Help

The other morning going to work i noticed i didn't have any boost, the boost gauge goes to 0 and that is it. If i kick i get 1-3 psi and nothing more. i have no check motor light on, i check all the ic pipes and all is tight and good there. the turbos sounds fine no bad sounds and no smoke. when i get on it i can hear a lot of air rushing sound but just like the boost is being let out or something. I have a factory bov and a hks ssq bov. any ideas? It just started doing this out of nowhere. the morning it started this it was very cold around 18-20 degrees.

Look at the threads at the bottom of this page and see if any of those help you. Usually the problem is either a boost leak, wastegate is stuck open, or bov is leaking.

how can u find out if a bov is leaking

I'm having the exact same problem, it feels like there's a loss of spark everytime i want to boost.

I'm going to do a boost leak test tomorrow, and check my coilpacks.

if it's not that, i'll check the wiring, something may have come loose.

no problem. I've had issues with my ignitor before, and this kind of feels like the same sort of thing. I dont know why it would just die out of nowhere though.

I took out the car today, and ran like crap. I hope it's not another ignitor issue, it'll be my second in a year.

drove the car this morning, drove perfectly fine.

I'm going to check my coilpacks and test for boost leaks today.

I think it was because it was raining yesterday, and was very damp outside. Couldve caused a short somewhere.
