Nissan 350z vs 90 Supra 1jz

I have recently replaced both my spark plug seals and piston gaskets. So I feel with this current setup and calculating the air pressure in southern AZ I feel I have received a net gain of around 6whp.

little late on this but jsut to give an idea of how little a z can put out. my 04 is 220-225 stock, 210 seems low, and i fully built it NA, higher comp. cams, springs, bored out bla blah all the exhaust and intake and a good tuning system and fly wheel and that gives me just over 300whp ... so i think if your car is stripped and putting down over 300 that z was spraying cause they handle it no issue..

Those are all mods that you don't see though, from the outside of an engine. Nitrous or some form of forced induction however... kinda obvious.

So wait, you're telling me that a fully built 350z ONLY makes around 300rwhp? That's disappointing.. So a BPU 7m would run a built NA 350z..

Yeah lol. Vq35de motor.. The 07-08 hr motors a little better for sure. But my motor could handle 125-150 shot all day now thats its built. I dont do nitrous tho its my daily. I got some surprising runs in with it tho.

1jzgte single turbo on 10psi i won.
135i with tune and 4 inch downpipe won that..
Sc400 exhaust intake -115 shot- beat him
06 s2000, 100 shot. Tune, ex, intake. I won
Rsx s- tuned , 100shot, intake exhaust beat him
06 ctsv intake- beat him.

Overall tho id never recommend the na build on a z !! But it was fun. And surprised me a tad.. thats why i have a 2j for fun!

That makes me giggle inside then, my friend keeps ragging on me about his 350z saying I don't stand a chance. I'm still breaking in my engine/fixing some problems with it so we've never been able to run.

Yeah I never saw the appeal of the 350Z. They just don't have enough power stock, and you need to build the bottom end to make more than 400hp with a turbo (I've read this in a few car magazines). Not to mention the working on the packaging nightmare that is the nissan V6 engine bay. No thanks. I'd consider one with an LS swap though.
