If it hasn't been run hot or overheated, it should be fine. If you haven't owned the car for it's entire life though you really don't have any idea of how well it's been taken care of or how badly it's been abused in the past. This is to cover your back

Well, the car has been with me all my life (literally, see build thread), the engine however hasn't. it was a jdm 7m swapped in. hmm I hope so, side note: PARTS TOMORROW!!! WOOT

Imo, you need to take the head in to have it milled on nearly every single bhg job. Quick, cheap ($75) and good insurance.
