I bought NFS carbon today, story seems confusing at least the first part that I played, I just got a car and crew set up and got a few lil mods. I am not sure as to whose who in the story but it's a fun game so far, hahaha the only cars availble are a RX8 (aka NA POS) the alfa romeo (I dontl ike em much) and then a 69 Camaro SS (aka car I bought cuz its got style). I want my MK4 next but I don't know what will be availible, its at night unlike NFS most wanted, although Cross shows up towards the beggining of it so I know there is a tie in, although now hes a rcaer not a cop. Oh BTW I got it for PS2 and No I don't play online. :(

Anyone got any more info, tips, comments?

NFSU & NFSU2 are the worst games every released under that franchise. Any game where you are required to rice out your ride in order to progress is terrible.

I've been playing Carbon for a day, I'm half way done. It still has some annoyances, the police will ignore the 20 other racers on the road to come after you, for instance. But overall, it's pretty nice. I started with the Alfa, and upgraded to the Lotus... won't be much longer before I'm buying something new.

Well you didn't have to rice one of your cars. You could have bought (like i did) an escalade and rice that out hah.
Reason why i say that nfsu2 was better then most wanted and carbon simply because nfsu2 on ps2 offered online unlike carbon and it had drifting unlike most wanted. I don't know, maybe it's just me but i rather likes coordinating drifting on NFSU2 online and stuff. 4 friends at once was killer. If they offered online for ps2 for carbon (just like they should have instead of offering it only to 360, ps3 and pc) then i would say this one was better. but so far im not impressed.

lol, yeah that's basically how I feel about them too. My brother bought the first one and he was all into it (he is REALLY into the show car scene too). Everytime I saw him, he was playing that game, so I decided to play it. I had a simple black S2000 with bronze rims and I had like ZERO style points (or whatever the hell they called it) because I refused to put a hood scoop, roof scoop, dubz and all kinds of other crap on it.

That coupled with the front wheel drive drifting made me really hate NFSU and NSFU2... but I kind of liked Most Wanted

well the FWD's were almost impossible to score over 100k points ina single drift. Also peopel need to remeber these are arcade sims at least, so if you want an online real life sim buy gt4 and sit online ;)

I don't care if it's online or not and I don't really care if it's a real racing sim or not (I really like the ridge racer games...far from a sim)... just "drifting" a front wheel drive car and the mandatory ricing of a car drives me insane, hah.

Just the way the game was designed, it doesn't allow for different tastes in designing a car... it only caters to those that love the uber ricer look.

But like I said earlier, I kind of like Most Wanted, but I definitely hate NFSU and NFSU2

---------------------

And I play the shit out of GT4, I had a couple of threads on here in regards to it

Carbon looks to be pretty much the same as the previous games in the franchise - nothing exciting about it.

However, NFS:MW was amusing for the fact that unlike the previous two games, you had the cops involved.

Oh and of course, i had to have me a Supra...

Nope, heh, not a big fan of online play of any type. You often deal with incredibly ignorant people who think because it's the internet they can say whatever they want.

Yeah little kids, but mainly asshole adults who go to work and then come home and spend every waking moment playing online games and think they are the "G0d of teh internets" *a guy said that he was just that when I was playing counter strike*

This comes to mind when I think of the type of person I'm describing:

no, when they drop the N-bomb and start calling people fags and what not, that's not just having fun. I know the difference between joshin' someone and the difference between someone being a prick
