Newbie searching for supra project. Help!

I am a Supra Newbie who has always wanted a Supra. I am now in the market searching and would greatly appreciate some directions for any of you wiser more seasoned friends. I have listed a few supras and engine that I am looking at. Thank you very much for reading and replying to my post.

What all are you looking for in the supra? and future plans?

How much work are you planning to do and are you thinking of going turbo or what? If you just want to drop in an engine the first would be easiest since it lacks an engine and all.

It really depends on what you want to do with it, but either way, the cleaner the better.

I would really like to have a Supra with turbo. My plans are to restore the car with mostly stock parts. I may add some mods, but I not looking to turn 400hp. I will most likely use it as a daily driver. I have always been fond of the supra and have never had the opportunity to buy one before.

thanks for the reply. Yes, I would like a turbo. I have found a 7M-GTE that is in pieces. Another member suggested staying away from that situation especially as a newbie.

My suggestion is to try to find a clean one structual wise and figure out if u want manual or auto, hartdtop or targa. With the transmission figured out it'll save u money with hardtop ot targa figured out it'll save ur ass from hurting from kickin urself for not gettin a targa. Well not sure what engine type your looking for, but you live in my area you may wanna check out JHOT imports... wish i could help with more good luck Also maybe I can help look for you... but are you looking for a 1jz/2jz or 7mGTE, and what tranny auto, manual?
