newb in need of help

hello, today when i turned on my car i notice a light box turned on. It is on the very left side of the dash board, left of the temperature gauge.

im really new to cars in general, and this turbo supra is my first car ever.

I sit on here for the better part of the day. I'm off and the wife's working. So, I get bored.

The light is the coolant light. Might be low on coolant, overflow bottle not filled or the dreaded BHG.

1 more question, my engine sometimes will shake a lil bit, and the rpm will go from 500 - 1000 while its in neutral.

is that normal?

Is your normal rpm 500? Does it go from 500 to 1000, then back down to 500 and so on, or does this just happen once and stay at 1000? Could be a vacuum leak.

yes it goes from 500 to like 800 and then goes back down and does it again.

Sounds vacuum related to me, also I would recommend making sure everything is good on your timing.

if it is a vacuum leak, is a major problem? do i have to get it fix right away? and if there is a vacuum leak will i lose power to my engine?
