Nah man, you've got this stuff all confused.

First off, 245's in the front are too narrow for a 9" wheel, get 8" wheels in the front.

In the rear, 10.5" on +35mm offset will not work, they will stick out of the fenders more than inch. A 10.5" wheel is too wide. You would need a +42mm offset and still need to roll your fenders, and they will still stick out. If they don't have a 9.5" or 10" wide, go with 9" in the rear and 8" in the front. You can safely run a 275 tire on a 9" wheel in the rear.

Of all the people who responded I take your advice the most seriously Lance, thanks. I'll take that into consideration, but these are sold as a package and as far as I can tell they dont offer a set with the widths you are talking about. I'll try to get ahold of someone there and see if I can order a set different from what they list.

the only other set even close that I see is 17x9's all around.

Well crap, they only have these wheels in 9" or 10.5". I was hoping to have a nice staggered look, but I dont want em sticking out either.

Might go 9's all around or keep lookin, I just loved the look of the deep dish wheels.

I've got 245's on a 9" wheel with a +35 offset and it looks and fits purfect.
In the rear I've got a 10" wheel with a +35 offset and a 275 tire and it fits purfect. If you go with a 10.5" wheel and a +35 offset it would stick out 1/4" more then mine, but that would be enough to make it rub. You really would want a +43 or +45 offset for the 10.5" wheel, but then your shock clearance becomes as issue on the inside of the wheel. Maybe if you stretched a 265 tire onto the 10.5" wheel it would make it work.

now see, no offence really...but I hate those wheels. I see mk3's all the time with wheels that have that kind of spoke. the one that makes a kind of 90* angle as it comes off the lip and sticks out in the center. Everyone has em. and in my humble opinion they dont flatter the car. And yes of course, too each his own. If your like me, you want what you want and no one can tell you different. But it seems like the majority here likes my choice. I just find a set that will fit.

Im leaning towards the 17x9's all around and will just staggar the tires. 285/40's on a 9 fit in the back right?

OK, got more info on the wheels and it looks like they wont fit properly. Im not even sure the 9's will fit right.

Specs on the wheels are:
front 17x9, +24 offset, 5.94 backspacing
rear 17x10.5, +27 offset, 6.56 backspacing

so sadly look like I wont be getting these  I guess I'll keep my eyes open for a good deal on some used ones
