i'm not so sure they are using garrett wheels. i've never seen a 61.2/90mm compressor wheel from garrett. also, i dont think the anti-surge is necessary on any of those wheels used. it will actually lose spool and horsepower over a non-as housing.

for a bolt on turbo, it is still a good deal tho.

In response to this I called Justin direct at Comp Turbo and this is his answer:

They are Garrett wheels P/N 447439-12 is The GT 61 Comp Wheel that Garrett
makes. The Comp Covers are the anti surge covers but they do not cut the
surge slot into them to maintain maximum efficiency on these wheels unless
a customer wants it.

well i guess i'll take their word for it. the only gt61 wheels i know of are 61.4/82. i searched that part number on the web and on garrett's website and couldnt find anything. maybe it is something custom and/or new.

either way, it should be good for mid 500rw pretty easy and with good spool.

What is a good price for a bolt on turbo? Is this a good price for a new turbo? SupraSport is selling one for under $900, what do you think of this. Here is a link

http://www.suprasport.com/Boss-Series-Comp-Turbo_p_0-1315.html

It is made by CompTurbo and they are using Garrett wheels and cover and Lipp is putting there Boss Housing on it.
How about some feed back.

Hint....

The guy answering your questions is one of the best guys to get a turbo from :wiggle:

Im not saying Jusin is full of poop.

But, I would make dam sure that the turbine is at LEAST big shaft P, Q or GT shaft.

That wheel comes out of a GT4502....

the ct461 and the ct467 looks like a pretty good deal, under 1k for a large turbo is very impressive. esp. if the company is well known such as suprasport. i will def. have these turbos in mind for my next upgrade.

How could I forget you! This is Greg from Lipp/SS, you know the old man that Jack has to put up with. I would like to make the meet. I will ask Jack if he will come along or to keep me in line.
I would like to have you be the first to see a casting of the new product line of T4 housings I have been working on.

PS Could we get a ride to the strip??
