89turbo - the part number is 237025 for the turbo. I don't have the part numbers for the oil lines, etc, and I suspect I'm going to manufacture something on the spot, likely tomorrow.

jdub - I've been to the Foggy Dew a couple times. There are better places around the city, though. :)

Tom - thanks, but I have one on the way from jtamulis. Who's customer service, I might add, is fan-freaking-tastic.

Nash - YOU could do such a thing. I'm limited to what I can fab using a drill press, a dremel tool, and 5 minute epoxy. AND I'm in a rush! :D

The UPS guy was after me for duty, taxes, brokerage, and he wanted a little something to take home, too. I live in Canada, which means that when people send me parts via UPS, I get bent over without lube. :(

Poodles - a DDP will bolt up, but I don't know how well it will seal between the two outlets. Worst case I'll have to get a new bar welded on. Total cost is yet to be figured out, but the turbo, shipping, brokerage, etc, has cost me $1400CDN (~$1200USD) so far. I still need to figure out what the oil lines and wastegate actuator are going to cost, but I expect to lay out another $250-300.

Nick - No ball bearings for me. I'm not convinced that it's a good option yet - I think I'll wait for the new foil bearings.

Qwik - that happened on my upgraded CT-26, too. This wastegate flapper is SUPER easy to swing, way easier than my old CT was, even when it was brand new. I guess I can't just grease it, huh? ;)

I am from Canada as well. I just wanted to chime in on the whole UPS deal. I know what you mean about being bent over. I've come to the conclusion that there is a dude at the boarder that just yells out random numbers for each package that comes thru!! I ordered a Bubba Army Hoody from Tampa Florida. it was 29US and 18us shipping. then when it showed up at my house, i had a 39CAD C.O.D!! but i also ordered a downpipe back v-band exhaust for my supra from Cali, It came in a huge box and was alot heavier than a hoody and alot more expensive, and the COD was 22bucks! wtf???? On that note, anyone shipping items to people in Canada from the US, please...please do us a favor and use USPS! they are just as quick , cheaper for us, and all around better (even tho they make the news the odd time for "going postal":sarcasm:) just my .02 cents.

Ok, thread resurrection or not, here's an update.

Yes, I'm still using this turbo. I don't know what kind of power level it's putting out, (I still haven't taken it to a dyno, I keep changing things...) but various people have said it feels like mid 300s. It spools slower than a CT, not a huge surprise, but pulls MUCH harder than a CT, and I still haven't turned the boost up.

Word is that these turbos don't really start to wake up until 18-20 psi, and I'm still running mine at 12-14. It's plenty for me at that level, thanks - you can't really use WOT in first gear unless you're prepared to bounce off the rev limiter.

Would I buy another one of these? Well... no, but not for the reasons you would think. The main reason I went this route was because I wanted my car back on the road ASAP, so a bolt on unit made sense. If I were to do this again, I'd buy a new exhaust manifold, turbo, and separate wastegate. Of course, cost isn't an issue for me, so your mileage may vary.

No way! They need time to age properly, like a fine wine, on my shelf before they can be properly installed.

I'm going to frame the intercooler, put it on the living room wall, and claim it's art for a couple months. The in-laws are going to FREAK.
