:1zhelp: Whats Goin On S M. Names Ryan. im 19 from Long Beach CA. I've got a 1988 Supra NA with a blown motor n busted rack n pinion, but everything else is in great condition. So im stoked, I used to own alot of hondas because I was street racing to pay bills. Ya, pretty stupid. lol But i got outta that bout a year ago. Been into watchin drifting for the past like 5 years, and finally went out n picked me up, a rwd car. Hopin to get into drifting, mainly just to have one, its just a great job, just like workin on my cars. Any help or advice, or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism would be very appreciated, I dont run around actin like I know it all, if Im stuck, I'll ask questions. So yah, any So Cal locals especially, I'd love a couple nudges in the right direction. Right now I think im just puttin a rebuilt in the car because I just need it to get to work n bak to make my money for a 2jz and just money in general. Cya Guys n Girls in The Forum. Glad to hear you got a Supra, but a Supra's not an ideal platform for a drift car. Good luck anyways, I'd like to see what you do with it.
well nothin else i'll just turn it into a project car. I got a great price for it, thats the main reason I picked it up, cuz i figured if i dont wanna hold onto it, i'll just rebuild it n sell it. but thanks
The best advise I can tell you is to be ready to replace the head gasket with an HKS Metal Headgasket if you plan to drift it. I have blown the head gasket in mine 3 times, not including that it had a blown head gasket when I bought it! Other than that I love my Supra! The first thing I am going to do when I order my new motor is put one of the HKS headgaskets in to see how reliable they are for myself. If you have any other questions feel free to ask...I have had probably a pretty good bit of the troubles happen to me...haha.
